At Star for Life we take advantage of our knowledge and experience from the field in fighting HIV/AIDS.
We apply the following principles to all our work: We work where the problems exist together with young
people, community members, local partners and the government in combating HIV/AIDS and stimulating
socioeconomic development. We don’t see HIV/AIDS as purely a health problem, rather as a problem that
is caused by and that causes poverty and inequalities.
Star for Life’s approach targets both the health aspects and the socioeconomic
aspects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.The areas we work in are located both in rural and urban areas of
South Africa and Namibia.
