Star for Life values the insights and knowledge of the target group and the surrounding environment.
We believe that if a HIV/AIDS prevention programme should be effective, those that we work with must
have an active and influential role in the process of designing, implementing and evaluating the programme.
Star for Life does therefore work in close collaboration with its target groups, their families and other
strategic community members. Moreover, the local authorities play an important role and Star for Life
does always write formal agreements with these institutions before entering an area. Other important
key stakeholders are local organizations and initiatives that because of their experience possess crucial
knowledge of the area.
